There no way to change the IBL's reflection rotation in the software render no matter the shader's "use envi" box is checked. And the IBL's exposure change has no effect to change the lightness of the IBL reflection.Īnd the rotation parameter change will only be seen in the hardware render. But the IBL's reflection is very dim and can hardly be seen compared with the objects' reflcetions. While the box is unchecked, the softrender will use both the IBL and objects in the scene to caculate the reflections. I ajusted the IBL's exposure and rotation parameters and changed the shader's "use environment" box (which means when check is on the softrender will only use the IBL and ignore objects in the scene to caculate reflections. This means managing data tranfer and updating the model for changes. My problem with VRED is that although there is a "plug-in", it's actually a separate app. I haven't used it much, but it does seem to give decent (but not amazing) results with minimal work and some limitations. Or you could add VRED to the mix (at extra cost).
